Gerrittsen Beach
The Gerrittsen Beach Fire Department was founded a century ago in 1922. Since that time the organization has grown to include 30 dedicated volunteers who operate a fleet of four fire and ems apparatus, which may soon include a new fire engine, on more than 500 calls per year.
We are the only volunteer fire department located in Brooklyn, NY, and serve to protect life and property in the community of Gerrittsen Beach. Our firehouse and training center are located on Seba Ave. If you would like to join our volunteer family in the fire and rescue service, we would be delighted to give you more information.
